In 2004 my dad and mum took me as their adopted daughter as well as my grandparents when I was only 9 years old. I was welcomed and felt scared but knew I was safe now. 

The memories over the last 18 years have been an adventure, rewarding, life changing and the main one was unforgivable love they gave me. I felt like a child again. 

The sudden saddness of losing my granddad was hard enough as he was my best friend. 

When I received the call about my dad a piece of my heart had been ripped out of me. Yes my dad was my dad but he was my best friend, soul mate and my everything. 

Even though you have gone daddy I will never forget the times you wanted me to glue my hair onto yours after I had a cut. Also the time mum was cutting your hair before going to a parents’ evening and the blade came off and she took a big chuck of your hair from the back of your head. 🤣🤣

Daddy you have gone but not a day goes by that you will leave my heart and for me to make you proud. Thank you for keeping me safe and changing my life. I love you daddy.
